ECOPROTEC Joint Residue Remover

ECOPROTEC Joint Residue Remover is a powerful specialist cleaner developed to tackle stubborn residues left behind by cement-free brush-in jointing compounds on natural stone and porcelain paving.

Its low-reactive formula works by softening difficult epoxy, acrylic and silicone residues, allowing them to be removed from the paving surface more easily. This makes it particularly useful for post-installation cleaning where jointing compound residue or film remains after a patio, path or other paved area has been completed.

Despite its powerful performance, ECOPROTEC Joint Residue Remover features a non-caustic, low-odour formulation. It provides a practical solution for tackling persistent jointing residues without relying on a highly caustic stripping treatment.

Suitable for natural stone and porcelain paving, the product can be used by professional installers as part of the finishing process or for remedial cleaning where unwanted jointing compound residue has hardened on the surface.

Ideal for Post-Installation Cleaning

Brush-in jointing compounds provide a convenient way to finish paving installations. However, epoxy, acrylic or silicone-based residues can sometimes remain on the surface.

ECOPROTEC Joint Residue Remover is specifically formulated to soften these stubborn deposits, making subsequent removal considerably easier and helping restore the appearance of the paving.

Always follow the product instructions before application. Testing the treatment on a small, inconspicuous area first is recommended to confirm compatibility with the paving surface.

Directions For Use

Shake well before use. Always test on an inconspicuous area prior to general use.

• Preparation: Ensure that the surface to be treated is completely clean and dry. If necessary, first wash surfaces with ECOPROTEC Intensive Cleaner. Rinse well with water to finish and leave to dry.
• Removing Residues: Apply generously by dabbing or rolling onto the surface. Work in manageable areas at a time and do not brush out. Leave for up to 30 minutes. If drying should occur within 30 minutes apply a little more solution to keep it wet. Use a stiff short haired brush or nylon scrubbing pad to remove the softened residues from the surface. Add a little water and scrub again. Extract the released residues using a sponge or wet vac and rinse with water. Repeat the process if unwanted material remains.
• To finish: Use ECOPROTEC Intensive cleaner dilute 1: 5 in warm water. Apply with a light pressure sprayer or watering can. Agitate the surface using a deck brush or nylon scrubbing pad. Rinse by hosing off thoroughly with clean water. Do not use when surface temperatures are under 5°C or over 25°C.

Storage Information

Store in a cool, dry, frost-free environment. Shelf life up to 2 years for un-opened containers. Once opened use within 6 months of purchase for optimum results.

Other Notes

Do not apply during rain, frost, or when surface and air temp is under 5°C or over 25°C.Use gloves and protective goggles if there is a risk of direct contact or splashing. Empty containers are recyclable. Clean application tools and brushes with water after use. Once cleaned: Protect porous stone and porcelain with ECOPROTEC Ultimate Sealer or Patio Sealer or Colour Enhancing Sealer.

Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink, or smoke when using this product. Wear protective gloves, eye protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
