JACKOBOARD Sealing Kit
JACKOBOARD® Sealing Kit for domestic or light commercial shower/wet areas. Sealing Kit consists of:
- 1 litre primer to prime timer and plasterboard surfaces
- Waterproofing membrane sufficient to fix the sealing tape and corners
- 10 m sealing tape
- 2 x pre-formed corner seals

Fields of application
For sealing the joints on JACKOBOARD® Plano construction boards and/or JACKOBOARD® Aqua shower elements when combined with ceramic tiles in wet rooms, showers and the like.
Application
Before use, please read the safety recommendations on the label. Application temperature: +5°C to +20°C. Mix both components in a clean container until you have a homogeneous consistency that is free of lumps and suitable for application. The mixing proportions of the components are already correct.
Using a firm brush or palette knife, apply the product thickly and to the entire surface of all butt joints of JACKOBOARD® Plano construction boards and/or JACKOBOARD® Aqua shower elements that require sealing.
Apply the sealant over the width of the sealing tape +1 cm over within half an hour. Do not add water or liquid components to try and revive sealant that has already started to harden.
In corners, start by installing the sealing corners in the sealant without creases. Then cover the top edge of the sealing corners with sealant before positioning the sealing tape centrally over creases. When positioning the sealing tape on the sealing corners, allow a butt joint overlap of around 50 mm.
Then apply a second layer to the sealing tape. After 4 hours, ceramic tiles can be applied on the sealant using thin bed mortar.
